Entered as part of the ISTD 2021 Student Competition, the brief I worked to was to create something based on the silent era of cinema. For this project I decided to create a book that details the important role stop motion played in the beginnings of cinema, allowing motion to first be transfered onto the silver screen to it allowing filmmakers to create worlds never seen before. Throughout the book there is a horse flipbook element that runs up either side of the book in a homage to Eadweard Muybridge, who was among the first to transfer motion onto film.
